My grandma passed away on Christmas Day due to stage 4 cancer throughout nearly her entire body. I vividly remember the doctor breaking the news to us. He said she has 3–6 months to live. Sadly, she didn’t even last one full month. As a family, what are you supposed to do? The world has just suddenly taken a loved one from you so quickly. It seems as if right after all this happens, you find yourself in a funeral home planning their services. I specifically remember walking into the casket room and seeing all the prices. I couldn’t believe my eyes. That is when I said to myself, I have to figure out a way to help ease families’ stress during the toughest of times like these. It’s not fair that funeral costs touch nearly $15–20k for so many people.
